My partner and I stayed in one of the newly opened Lagoon rooms last week and I can honestly say they are the nicest rooms in Darwin. Being NT locals we travel to Darwin alot and have stayed in many hotels and none compare to these rooms. I wouldn't recommend the rooms in the older part of the hotel for the price they charge however the new Lagoon rooms are worth every cent. From the moment we arrived we recieved great service and the staff were more than helpful. We stayed in a swim up lagoon room, it was extremely spacious even with two double beds in it, huge bathroom with double shower and sink, comfy sun lounges next to the water on our patio as well as other outdoor seating, comfy bed and a great range of toiletries.

The new Lagoon rooms are brand new and very nice, Bottom rooms have direct access to the swimming pool though we had the upstairs room, it was still very nice.

Room could do with a sitting chair inside though. TV didn't work, it kept trying to start up for some reason, but we didn't stay in the hotel much so didn't really need to use it.

Housekeeping doesn't start until 7am so if you want something early in the morning, you'll have to wait.
