A Anonymous Jul 20, If I'm making money I play the field. This may be an incredibly stupid question, but why would you encourage someone who consistently wins to keep coming back to your casino? Since my youth, I've had very good hand-eye coordination. Once you've completed this, take your hands out of the table area. Warnings Compulsive gambling is a serious problem that afflicts people worldwide, and it doesn't take long to develop a gambling problem.
Craps is a game where everybody, except the house, can win together. Craps can seem a little confusing at first, but it's fun and simple once you get the hang of the basic rules. To play Craps, start by placing a bet on the pass line before the shooter rolls the dice—if the shooter rolls a 7 or 11, you win twice your bet.
If the shooter rolls a different number, that number becomes the shooter's "point. Place a bet before the come-out roll. At the beginning of a round of craps, a button with the word OFF written on it is on the table not near any points. This means that no point explained later has been determined. A craps game can't begin until the shooter has placed a bet on the don't pass line.
Anyone else at the table can also place a bet on the don't pass line at this time, though they don't have to. These are the most basic craps bets. The shooter's first roll of any turn is called the come out roll. If the shooter rolls a 7 or 11 on the come-out roll, the pass line wins even money, the don'ts, you've lost your money.
If the shooter comes out with a 2, 3, or this is called crapseveryone loses their pass line bets and wins their don't pass bets 2 or 12 is a push for the don'ts, whichever the casino says. If the shooter rolls any other number, this number becomes the point.

IAmA guy who makes his living exclusively playing craps. In college, I used to play dominoes and cards to pass the time with friends. We moved on to playing with dice and I started to realize quickly that I had a knack for controlling the dice. I was able to quickly place the dice in my hands and roll them how I wanted them with a low margin of error. I knew this wouldn't get me far in a casino but I started reading about precision dice control anyways.
I began trying out my technique with moderate success, and along the way picked up a moderate addiction to gambling. After awhile, I began noticing that I was hitting certain numbers much more frequently than others throwing from certain dice "sets".
I began experimenting with different strategies and eventually devised one that has put me in the black for over three years, each and every time I goto the casino. I stopped working my MIS job a year ago and concentrated on just playing craps. I have a full craps table in the basement of my modest home and practice throwing for an hour or two every night I am home. AmA regarding craps systems, strategies, precision dice throwing, and whatever else you'd like to know.
I'm a bit skeptical. I'd like to see a video of you calling out a number you plan to hit on the dice and then rolling it. OP could easily record audio separately. I request OP rolls a definite sequence or repeat the same roll over and over. What do you say OP? Otherwise I call bullshit. And if you give me the "I don't own a video camera" excuse, at least post a pic of your craps table with timestamp.
Seriously, why is this downvoted? There has been a big discussion recently about how a lot of IAmAs are just bullshit. The chances that this guy makes a living playing craps are so small that a simple proof shouldn't be a problem. Better yet just roll two set of dice. The second roll must match the first roll and do this for many rolls captured in one contuious shot. True, he could fake it pretty easily. I was thinking something more along the lines of him pointing the camera at himself while calling out the number and then rolling it in a continuous shot.
Craps is a dice game in which the players make wagers on the outcome of the roll, or a series of rolls, of a pair of dice. Players may wager money against each other playing "street craps" or a bank playing " casino craps", also known as "table craps", or often just "craps". Because it requires little equipment, "street craps" can be played in informal settings.
Craps developed in the United States from a simplification of the western European game of Hazard. The origins of Hazard are obscure and may date to the Crusades. Hazard was brought from London to New Orleans about by the returning Bernard Xavier Philippe de Marigny de Mandeville , the young gambler and scion of a family of wealthy colonial Louisiana landowners.
Both Hazard and its new offshoot were unfamiliar and rejected by Americans of his social class, leading de Marigny to introduce his novelty to the local underclass. Fieldhands taught their friends, and deckhands carried the new game up the Mississippi River. Celebrating the popular success of his novelty, de Marigny gave the name Craps to a street in his New Orleans real estate development.
The central game, called Pass from the French word for pace or step, has been gradually supplemented over the decades by many companion games which can be played simultaneously. The entire collection of over one hundred separate and independent possible games is called Craps. The name Craps was a Louisiana mispronunciation of the word "crabs", which in London had been the joint epithet for the numbers two and three, which in Hazard are the only permanent instant losing numbers for wagers on Pass.
For a century after its invention, Craps was abused by casinos using unfair dice. To remedy the problem, about a Philadelphia dice maker named John H. Winn introduced a layout which featured bets on both Pass and Don't Pass. Most modern casinos use his innovation. Craps exploded in popularity during World War II , which brought most young American men of every social class into the military.
